For this project I wanted to focus on the theme ‘Home’. From my research into our own homes I began to think about how animals/insects rely on our gardens and trees as a home.

For my illustration I wanted to capture a more playful view of insects in their natural habitat. Using references from 3D paper artists like Cat Johnston I wanted to incorporate 3d elements and paper cutouts to the illustration. The cutouts would give the illustration a more 3D and lively feel.
